Wouldn’t surprise you if I said, “most small firms do the majority of business locally, within a 50-mile radius.” No big secret, since local search results are often clicked on mobile platforms: iPhones, iPads and Android mobile devices.

However, it may surprise you that many entrepreneurs–even on the central coast–have not claimed their company’s local listing in the major search engines.

Certify your local business in Google Places for Business. For example, click on this link to begin the process for your establishment. You can upload pictures, logos and have a map display your physical address if you choose.
